or Alison, is something of a modern polymath, having won prizes for fiddle playing, costume and art as a child, and who then continued to study art at Edinburgh College of Art, theatre, at the University of Ulster and then production design for film, theatre and television at the Irish National Film School, in Dún Laoghaire (IADT), gaining a BA Hons and a BDes Hons. She completed a Masters in Film at QUB Belfast in 2014. Currently she is researching screenwriting practice and is in receipt of the Aberdeen/Curtin joint scholarship, based primarily at the University of Aberdeen and also Curtin University in Australia. Prize winner of the North/South of Ireland 2012 anti-trafficking photography competition, runner up in a 2015 US ScreenCraft screenwriting competition and short listed in various other creative endeavours.
Creative work to date includes screenwriting, commissioned art, storyboards, drama facilitation, film production, animation and production design for film.
Alison is the General Editor of a peer-reviewed cross-disciplinary Arts journal for creative and critical practice across creative arts and literature, The Dovetail. She is a professional member of Screentraining Ireland and Visual Artists Ireland.
